Rev. Jake & Colleen Clawson

WELCOME JAKE AND COLLEEN

Jake Clawson grew up just down the road in Johnstown, PA. Many of his relatives, including his parents and younger sister, still reside there. His wife, Colleen, also grew up in Johnstown, though her family, which includes four brothers, is spread out all over the United States. Jake and Colleen met in middle school.

Jake attended Lee University in Cleveland, TN and received his undergraduate degree in Bible and Theology. Colleen crossed the country and attended Seattle Pacific University to earn her degree in Psychology.

During college, Colleen and Jake began dating long distance, spending too many minutes on the phone and dollars on airplane tickets, and both relocated to Pittsburgh after graduation.

Jake began study at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary to pursue a Master of Divinity, and he and Colleen were married in 2007, after which he worked for three years at Lebanon Presbyterian Church as their Youth Director, before returning to seminary. Colleen has recently completed her Master of Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh and is working in the area.

Both Jake and Colleen are very excited about the opportunity to come, to invest and to grow together in the community that makes up Jefferson United Presbyterian Church.
